Books
Each month our Librarian catalogs a number of books into the library collection. Some are recent publications suggested by our museum curators, while others are gratis publications as a result of research or image use from our archival collections. Still, other books are added to the collection because of the Glenn D. Shirley Collection which contributed numerous books related to western history, true crime, movie industry, and art. Browse the Library Catalog to see what books are available for research on location. The Dickinson Research Center is a non-lending library.

Audio/Video
Our Moving Image Collections consists of video recordings on DVD, VHS, DV8, mini-DV, Beta, Hi-8, movie reel, and various other formats. Many of these items have been donated to the Dickinson Research Center in addition to archival collections, while a few have been requested by curators are specific subject areas. The Center has a television with DVD and VHS players for researchers to view these recordings for research purposes. The Dickinson Research Center is a non-lending library, but videos and sound recordings can be browsed in our Library Catalog.

Images
There are numerous photographic collections in our archives, in addition to image scans of lobby cards and film stills. As we continue scanning and cataloging images from the Helfrich, Gregory, and Shirley collections into the image database, we acquire other photographic images through auctions and gifts. Please browse our Image Archive Database to view our images.
