not possibly be a protest group, although there is a guitar
in the picture. These are a few of the earliest students.
They are, standing: Hartman, Tom, 98; Cora Miltmore, 98;
Norric Gilbert, 98; Willa Adams, 99; George Bowers, 97;
and Minnie Dysart, 99; Seated: Earl Myers, 99 and Jessie
Thatcher, 97. Myers was a transfer student, and spent only
his last college year here. Jessie Thatcher had the honor
